How to resolve file and folder names blue in windows explorer

There would have thought that when the name of the file or folder in windows explorer blue means the computer has been hit by a vicious virus attack, so even if scanned with antivirus update file and folder names remain blue (no change).

Actually, these assumptions are false because it is not caused by a virus but due to the features of the NTFS file system windows to compress the drive or partition to increase the volume capacity of the drive (compress drive to save disk space) has been activated. If the feature compress drive to save disk space is enabled then the file name and folder in the drive will be colored blue or a color other than black.

To overcome this, there are two ways or options that can be done.
The first way is by eliminating the function compress drive to save disk space.

1. Open the windows explorer, then right click on the drive name and the file is blue folder and select Properties.
2. On the General tab uncheck the Compress drive to save disk space, and then click OK. Wait a few moments to complete.

3. Then the name of the folder and files will be restored.

The second way is to make arrangements to view the folder options. This way without changing or removing features compress drive to save disk space that has been active.

1. Open Windows Explorer and click Tools menu and select folder options

2. In the folder options window to the View tab and uncheck the Show encrypted or compressed NTFS files in color and click OK

In this way the color of file names and folders will return to normal.
